Sediment Guard 510 / 520
The Sediment Guard 510/520 is a simple, effective first line of defence: a large pleated cartridge on the main line that catches the grit — dirt, sand, silt, scale flakes and rust — before it reaches the rest of the house.
Pleated for capacity
The cartridge is a 5-micron pleated element. The pleats give it a large surface area, so it holds a lot of dirt before the pressure drop tells you it is time for a change. It uses no electricity and does not backwash — when the cartridge is loaded, you swap it (H-SGRC-510 for the SG510, H-SGRC-520 for the SG520).
Where it belongs
On municipal water it protects faucet aerators, valves, the water heater and any downstream filtration from particulate. On a well or after a water-main repair it is often essential. Milani usually installs it as the first stage ahead of any carbon, softening or RO equipment.
