pH correction
HALO Acid Neutralizer
The HALO Acid Neutralizer treats acidic or low-pH water — common on wells and in some rain-fed supplies — that corrodes copper pipe and fixtures and can leach metals into the water. It raises the pH to neutral using a natural mineral, with nothing to dose or measure.
How calcite works
The tank is filled with calcite, a crushed white marble that is naturally calcium carbonate. As acidic water flows through, a small amount of the calcite dissolves and raises the pH toward neutral. Because the reaction slows as the water approaches neutral, the system is self-limiting — it will not push the pH too high under normal conditions.
Reducing the acidity stops the water from dissolving copper and lead out of the plumbing, which protects both the pipes and the people drinking the water.

What to plan for
The calcite is consumed over time and is topped up periodically. Neutralising also adds some hardness to the water, so on harder supplies HALO recommends a softener or conditioner downstream — Milani tests the water and lays out the full sequence.
